About Us

The Beginnings

Our organic recycling began in the early 1990’s as a entrepreneurial vision of Lamb Farms, Inc – a successful central Indiana family farm since 1963. God, family, responsible farming, and giving back have been the focus for three generations. Composting and soil amending was a logical addition to our operations. In 2008, under the leadership of long-time family friend, Guy Shafer, we became a formal division of Lamb Farms, Inc. Since then, AgRecycle has continued to expand in our ability to cost effectively recycle organics that were traditionally entering our landfills. We are also able to convert it to useful amendments that naturally increase the nutrient levels and productivity of our soils.

Our Plans in the Future

AgRecycle is continuing to expand our operations and services with new equipment and new processes. Lamb Farms continues to be their main client, but companies as far as Cincinnati are now using AgRecycle to save money and dispose of their organic waste in an environmentally friendly way. AgRecycle provides service to various companies such as Indy Fruit, Subaru, Cook Medical, Heritage, and Ray’s Trash.

What’s Happening Nowadays

AgRecycle is growing! Our operations are now able to serve other businesses and organizations as a more cost effective and environmentally friendly way to dispose of organic waste from their operations than a traditional landfill. We also have added a retail store operation that includes various types of mulch and compost. We are conveniently located and can accommodate pickups and deliveries locally.

Bottom Line

We are Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) certified to accept a wide variety of organic wastes, food wastes, and bio solids. If you are looking for an environmentally friendly and cost-effective partner to dispose of your company’s organic bi-product, give us a call. We would love to help you.

Bob Basey | Production Assistant

Bob came to work for Lamb Farms, Inc. in 2010. He had been working for a local co-op bringing with him valuable experience as a machine operator. As the physical demands of AgRecycle grew, Bob was a natural fit to assist with the business’s daily operations.
